Welcome to Afloat

Are you an international parent or parent-to-be in Germany?

Then you’re in the right place.

Being a parent abroad is hard and, for international families, it can be lonely.

Afloat is a non-profit organization that offers resources and support groups to not only help you survive parenting in an international context, but to help you build the support system you deserve.

We are open to anyone who considers themselves a mother* or father* or primary caretaker regardless of gender identity or family structure. The gender asterisk * is here to make it clear that there is a wide range of gender identities not just "female" and "male".

Every mom* deserves support.
How can we support you today?

Being a migrant mom* is hard enough as it is. And finding support is even harder when you struggle with a language barrier. Within a week of contacting Afloat I was connected to local resources and can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for guiding me towards that light.
